Passas um dia a trabalhar na tua área de estudo, numa empresa, IPSS, autarquia ou universidade. O salário desse dia vai para projetos de juventude. You spend a day working in your field of study, at a company, charity, council or university. That day's pay goes to youth projects.

Chama-se Solidarity Action Day e acontece todos os anos em 15 países europeus. Nunca aconteceu em Portugal. A ActivEU entrou na rede SAME em março de 2026 como membro português e a primeira edição, com estudantes universitários, começa no Porto. It is called the Solidarity Action Day and it happens every year in 15 European countries. It has never happened in Portugal. ActivEU joined the SAME network in March 2026 as the Portuguese member, and the first edition, with university students, starts in Porto.

Escolhes onde passar um diaYou choose where to spend a day

Numa empresa, numa IPSS, numa autarquia ou numa universidade, ligada ao que estudas. Alguém te abre a porta e dá-te trabalho a sério.At a company, a charity, a council or a university, linked to what you study. Someone opens the door and gives you real work to do.

Quem te acolhe paga-te o diaYour host pays you for the day

Um salário por um dia de trabalho, combinado por escrito antes de começares. É dinheiro que ganhaste.A salary for one working day, agreed in writing before you start. It is money you earned.

Doas esse salárioYou donate that salary

Os salários de toda a gente juntam-se e vão para projetos ligados à juventude, escolhidos e anunciados antes do dia.Everyone’s salaries are pooled and go to youth-related projects, chosen and announced before the day.

A ActivEU organiza o dia e encaminha as doações para os projetos escolhidos. Não cobra comissão sobre elas. ActivEU organises the day and passes the donations on to the chosen projects. It takes no commission on them.

A ActivEU não inventou isto. ActivEU did not invent this.

O Solidarity Action Day nasceu na rede SAME, formada por 16 associações juvenis de 15 países europeus que fazem o mesmo dia, cada uma no seu país. A ActivEU entrou em março de 2026 como membro português. O modelo já foi testado lá fora. O que falta é fazê-lo cá. The Solidarity Action Day was born in the SAME network, made up of 16 youth associations across 15 European countries that run the same day, each in its own country. ActivEU joined in March 2026 as the Portuguese member. The model has been tested abroad. What is missing is doing it here.

Ainda não aconteceu em Portugal. É por isso que a ActivEU existe. It hasn't happened in Portugal yet. That is why ActivEU exists.

Não temos data fechada nem números portugueses para mostrar. Temos um modelo testado em 15 países, uma associação recém-entrada na rede e uma cidade para começar. Começamos pelas universidades. Depois queremos levar o dia às escolas secundárias, aos municípios e a jovens que estão fora da escola e do emprego. A primeira edição está a ser construída agora, com quem quiser estar nela. We have no fixed date and no Portuguese figures to show. We have a model proven in 15 countries, an association that just joined the network, and a city to start in. We are starting with universities. After that we want to take the day to secondary schools, to councils and to young people who are out of school and out of work. The first edition is being built right now, with whoever wants to be in it.

Nasceu de uma viagem a Lübeck.Born from a trip to Lübeck.

Vários de nós fomos a Lübeck, ano após ano, para o Act.ival for Future da rede SAME. Voltávamos sempre felizes pelo que tínhamos vivido e frustrados por não haver nada parecido em Portugal, sobretudo o Solidarity Action Day. Em 2025 decidimos mudar isso.Several of us went to Lübeck, year after year, for the SAME network's Act.ival for Future. We always came back happy about what we had lived and frustrated that there was nothing like it in Portugal, above all the Solidarity Action Day. In 2025 we decided to change that.

É o nosso primeiro ano completo. Preferimos fazer bem a fazer muito, por isso o plano tem cinco frentes e nenhuma pressa de crescer.It is our first full year. We would rather do things well than do a lot of them, so the plan has five fronts and no rush to grow.

Existimos para que mais jovens participem, na Europa, na sua terra e ao lado de outras gerações, e para que estejam bem enquanto o fazem. Sem fins lucrativos, através da educação, da cultura, do voluntariado e de ações sociais e ambientais.We exist so that more young people take part, in Europe, in their own town and alongside other generations, and so that they are doing well while they do it. Na ActivEU não há degraus. Quem dirige, quem coordena e quem aparece para dar uma mão sentam-se à mesma mesa. Cada um faz a sua parte e ninguém vale mais do que ninguém.There are no rungs at ActivEU. Whoever leads, whoever coordinates and whoever turns up to lend a hand sit at the same table. Everyone does their part and nobody is worth more than anybody else.
